Primary and Secondary Learning Platforms
Middle School Mathematics uses Savaas Envision Math 2.0 as a primary source for the textbook and pearsonrealize.com
as a primary online learning platform. Savaasrealize.com has access to the entire middle school mathematics curriculum, online videos assigned per skill, differentiated instruction such as reteach for remediation or enrichment. These interventions are assigned on an adaptive-based platform based on student performance on the Math XL assignments as well as the assigned lesson quizzes. They appear once the assigned unit is completed under the "Adaptive Practice Powered by Knewton" feature.
Our secondary online platform is Khan Academy which has a two-fold functionality: Weekly curriculum-based skills practices and videos are assigned at grade level as per the scope and sequence. Khan Academy Mappers is a completely individualize math supplement that meets students where they are (as per most recent Star 360 test data) and assigns skills that will fill deficit areas and build pre-requisite skills to maximize student performance and growth.
