Welcome to Ryder!

My name is Ms. Clay. I am the Assistant Principal of Ryder Math and Science Specialty School. I have been an educator for over 20 years. As and educator, I know that parents are a child's first teacher. I am honored for the opportunity to join you on their educational journey. I am committed to continuing the success of every child, both academically and socially.

My philosophy of education is that learning should be relevant, engaging and fun. It should spark the curiosity, creativity and contemplation of their minds and allow them the opportunity to explain, expound, elaborate and express themselves cognitively... all while applying the concepts learned to real life situations.

I am here to assist not only our awesome principal, Dr. Rucker, but to also assist the students, families, staff and the entire Ryder community in any way that I can. My 20+ years of experience have provided me with valuable knowledge and resources to be both an effective instructional and strategic leader as well as a strong advocate for our children's social and academic success. I look forward to working together with you this year!
