Justin Smetters
Hello, my name is Mr. Justin Smetters and I am a passionate educator. I have 16 years of experience teaching in both local and international schools both here and abroad. This is my second year at Ryder and I hope to make it a memorable one. I am the Diverse Learning teacher and Science Co-Teacher for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I will be using Google Classroom and the traditional classroom to provide instructional opportunities in my classroom. I am excited to help the community and your child in particular.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Middle School ELA and Middle School Social Studies from Monmouth College in Monmouth, IL and I have a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Northeastern University of Illinois in Chicago, IL.
In my spare time, I like to watch sports, movies, play games, and sing.
