Attendance Policy

Attendance policy: . School starts daily at 8:45am and ends at 3:45 pm. Classes begin at 8:45am. Students are marked tardy if they arrive at 8:55am. Students must be present for instruction with the teacher to receive credit for attendance.

Reporting an absence: Only the parent/guardian may report a student’s absence to the Main Office at (773)535-3843 from 8:30am-6:00pm Monday-Friday. 

Causes for excused absences: The following reasons are considered excused absences by Chicago Public Schools:

• Student's Illness
• Observance of a religious holiday
• Death in the immediate family
• Family Emergency/Personal
• Concern for student's health and safety (Dr. Appointment)
• Home/Hospital program
